Rethink Health Care

The demographic change is a major challenge for Europe. Today, in nursing more personal is required than available.

HealthCAT (Health Care Assisting Technology) is taking an important step in the future, which will permanently relieve health care staff. The task focus of nursing staff is thereby directed towards the most important aspect: the people.

Automatic devices such as washing machines, dishwashers, vending machines, car washing systems etc. have become an integral part of our everyday life. Technical progress now makes it possible to place further tasks in the hands of such devices.

The Project

HealthCAT is a German-Danish partner project under the direction of Syddansk Universitet (SDU) with partners FH-Kiel (Fachhochschule Kiel), Syddansk Sundhedsinnovation, Robotize, Sygehus Sønderjylland, University of Lübeck (UZL) Region Sjælland.

Together, the prototype of a robot is developed, which takes on specific tasks in health care departments. The development is carried out in close collaboration with nursing institutions in order to ensure safety and use in everyday life.
